Location: Open (travel required)

Next Level Technician is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of complex structured cabling and data center construction projects. This role requires a blend of technical, operational, and leadership capabilities to ensure all aspects of the project—from pre-construction through closeout—are executed on time, within budget, and to high quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all phases of structured cabling and data center construction projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop schedules, track milestones, and align project goals with client expectations.

  • Oversee material and product selection, ensuring constructability and cost-effectiveness during pre-construction phases.

  • Prepare and manage budgets, cost estimates, progress reports, and forecasts.

  • Coordinate travel logistics for technicians and manage site personnel.

  • Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, safety standards, and client specifications.

  • Lead the hiring, training, and supervision of project teams and site staff.

  • Negotiate contracts with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.

  • Oversee procurement of materials and project-related equipment.

  • Conduct jobsite inspections and quality control checks.

  • Resolve issues related to delays, change orders, or field emergencies.

  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high satisfaction through proactive communication.

  • Deliver weekly/monthly reports, including billing and invoicing.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • 10+ years of experience managing construction or structured cabling/data center projects.

  • Strong understanding of project financials, earned value metrics, and scheduling.

  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage subcontractors, and coordinate multi-trade efforts.

  • Experience with contract negotiation and administration.

  • Excellent communication and client engagement skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Must meet Motor Vehicle Record requirements.

  • PMP, RCDD, or other relevant certifications preferred.

  • Willingness to travel and be on-site as needed.
