Location: Dallas-Fort Worth, TX Full-Time | Salary Based on Experience Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Low Voltage Project Manager to oversee and manage structured cabling, data, access control, CCTV, and other low voltage systems on commercial and industrial projects throughout the DFW metroplex. The ideal candidate has strong leadership, planning, and communication skills with hands-on knowledge of field operations and industry standards. Key Responsibilities:
Manage all phases of low voltage installation projects including scope, budget, scheduling, staffing, and quality assurance.
Coordinate field technicians, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure work is performed to code and manufacturer specifications.
Oversee material procurement, submittals, permits, and RFIs.
Review construction drawings, identify conflicts, and provide field-engineered solutions as needed.
Conduct job site walkthroughs, safety meetings, and progress updates with the GC, client, and internal stakeholders.
Maintain accurate project documentation including daily reports, change orders, test results, and punch lists.
Ensure timely project closeout, system certifications, and turnover packages.
Track project milestones and provide regular budget and timeline updates to leadership.
Enforce company safety policies and ensure job site compliance with OSHA standards.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in low voltage systems (structured cabling, fiber optics, security, AV, or fire alarm).
2+ years of experience in a project management or lead technician role.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, and scope documents.
Working knowledge of TIA/EIA standards and cable color codes (including T568B).
Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, or similar).
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
OSHA 30 certification preferred.
BICSI or manufacturer-specific certifications a plus.
Work Conditions & Vaccine Requirement:
Must be able to walk active job sites, climb ladders, and carry up to 50 lbs.
Job sites may include hospitals, schools, government buildings, and data centers.
Certain job sites require specific vaccines or other site-specific health clearances as a condition of entry. Candidates must be willing to comply with all job site access requirements.
