Low Voltage Cable Technicians – Lakeland, FL
Company: Next Level Technician

Next Level Technician is urgently seeking experienced Low Voltage Cable Technicians for a long-term opportunity in Lakeland, FL. This role offers hands-on work at a variety of commercial and industrial job sites, providing valuable experience and exposure across a wide range of environments—from schools and hospitals to retail locations and industrial facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pull, terminate, dress, and label CAT5e/CAT6 cabling

  • Perform cable testing using appropriate tools and equipment

  • Punch down voice and data jacks

  • Install and terminate racks, patch panels, cable trays, cabinets, workstation outlets, and MDF/IDF setups

  • Apply proper firestopping techniques

  • Work from ladders and aerial lifts comfortably and safely

  • Read and interpret blueprints and general system layouts

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in commercial or industrial low voltage installations

  • Working knowledge of telecom and data networks

  • Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, high-visibility vest, steel-toe boots)

  • Certifications such as BICSI, OSHA, and lift training are a plus
