JOB DESCRIPTION:
At Next Level Technician, we are a forward-thinking low voltage solutions provider specializing in structured cabling, security systems, AV integration, and access control for commercial and industrial clients. We’re expanding our Dallas team and looking for a highly skilled and motivated Lead Low Voltage Technician to help drive successful project execution and mentor field crews.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee field installation teams on commercial low voltage projects

  • Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic structured cabling systems (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, etc.)

  • Coordinate the installation of access control, CCTV, IP camera systems, intercoms, AV systems, and other low voltage infrastructure

  • Interpret and work from blueprints, project specifications, and technical schematics

  • Ensure code compliance and industry standards (TIA/EIA, NEC, BICSI)

  • Interface with project managers, general contractors, and clients to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery

  • Train and mentor junior technicians, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols

  • Maintain accurate documentation including daily reports, change orders, and as-built drawings

  • Conduct site walks and quality assurance checks during and after installation

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum 4–5 years of hands-on experience in low voltage systems, with at least 1–2 years in a lead or supervisory role

  • Proficiency in structured cabling, fiber optics, and installation of low voltage systems (CCTV, access control, AV, etc.)

  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings, riser diagrams, and scope of work documents

  • Familiarity with industry standards and codes (TIA/EIA, NEC, BICSI)

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening

  • OSHA 10/30 certification is a plus

  • BICSI Installer/Technician certification or similar is a strong plus
