Job Description

Next Level Technician has an immediate need in the Sterling VA area for Data Center/Structured Cabling Technicians. Installing structured cabling and racking and stacking in a data center experience is ideal.

Responsibilities:

Physically install, secure, and manage servers, storage devices, and network equipment in data center racks.
Ensure all equipment is properly labeled, documented, and aligned with data center standards and best practices.
Perform cable management to ensure efficient airflow and accessibility.
Assist senior technicians in the installation, termination, and testing of structured cabling systems, including copper and fiber optic cables.
Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of electronic security systems, such as access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and video surveillance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and client requirements.
Assist in the troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues related to structured cabling and electronic security systems.
Conduct site surveys and assist in the preparation of project documentation, including drawings, cable schedules, and test reports.
