Next Level Technician is urgently in search of a DRAN or DAS Technician/Engineer in the Atlanta GA area.

The Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) technician is part of the installation team and has overall accountability for completing assigned in-building DAS installations for Public Safety and Cellular systems. You will assist in cultivating opportunities for future construction projects by providing excellent customer service, maintaining quality assurance, and building a financially successful project.

DAS Technician Responsibilities

 
  • Coordinate customer requirements, project design, and key dates for phases of project.
  • Develop and write the technical content for proposals and RFP responses.
  • Coordinate site surveys and benchmark testing; conduct bid walks and prepare bid documents.
  • Work with systems team to generate pricing for implementation.
  • Work with local jurisdiction for the adopted NFPA codes for Public Safety systems or with Wireless Service Providers for requirements.
  • Order and track equipment and materials for projects within the region.
  • Schedule and manage project deployments and commissioning of systems.
  • Provide daily and weekly customer updates and status reports.
  • Maintain quality control of project installations and commissioning process.
  • Manage acceptance testing and troubleshooting of the completed system; provide closeout documentation.
  • Adhere to all occupational safety, health related laws, and governmental regulations applicable to DAS operations.

DAS Technician/Engineer Requirements
  • 5 years' construction management experience with in-building distributed antenna systems (IDAS) required; commercial/multifamily new construction and high-rise experience highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with NFPA codes, building codes, fire and electrical codes and experience with building and integrating in-building systems for both Public Safety and Cellular industry.
  • Ability to carry test equipment and perform site surveys and system testing.
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Project, Visio, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Disciplined to work independently, effectively at remote locations and in an office environment.
  • Ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast-paced work environment with very tight deadlines.
