Job Description


Next Level Technician is seeking a skilled and experienced Low Voltage Lead Security Technician in the Dallas, TX area to join our team. This role is responsible for leading the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of low voltage security systems, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and related infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can manage crews, ensure quality workmanship, and maintain project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee installation and service of low voltage security systems (CCTV, access control, intrusion alarms, intercoms, etc.)

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings

  • Manage and mentor technicians on-site to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency

  • Coordinate with project managers and general contractors on job scope, timelines, and changes

  • Perform system programming, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting

  • Maintain accurate records of materials used, labor hours, and job status

  • Ensure compliance with local codes, industry standards, and customer requirements

  • Maintain and manage inventory of tools and materials for assigned projects
Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in low voltage security systems, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership role

  • Proficiency with systems such as Lenel, Genetec, Bosch, Honeywell, Hikvision, or similar

  • Strong understanding of structured cabling, terminations, and proper installation practices

  • Ability to work independently and lead a small crew

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required by clients
Preferred:

  • Manufacturer certifications Dahua, Brivo, Lift Master, Alarm.com, and Honeywell

  • OSHA 10/30 certification

  • Experience working on commercial construction sites
